305 Thursday – Paul Weaver Holds Power Rankings Lead

The Wheatley Chronicles – Volume IV, No. 26

Lonnie Wheatley, LINCOLN, Neb. (June 23, 2016) – Closing in on the season’s midpoint, it is still Ohio rep Paul Weaver atop the 305 Sprint Car Power Rankings presented by Dodge City Raceway Park.

The Fremont racer that finished 15th in last year’s 305 Power Rankings has picked off four feature wins thus far in 2016 to open up a 39 point advantage over Texas shoe Jeff Day, who has four wins as well.

While Weaver has that cushion for the lead, the balance of the top ten are separated by no more than 27 points with the Nebraska duo of Tyler Drueke and Clint Benson along with Kansas gunslinger Luke Cranston rounding out the current top five.

Others among the current top ten include Chad Wilson, Bobby Clark (last year’s top finisher in 305 Power Rankings), Andy Shouse, Michelle Melton and Nate Dussel.
