Adjust Your Scorecards as Sprintweek Resumes at Terre Haute

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (July 15, 2015) – A ride change or two and a driver MIA due to injury will be among the noticeable items as USAC’s Indiana Sprintweek resumes with Wednesday night’s “Don Smith Classic” at the Terre Haute Action Track.

It marks the Fourth Round of Indiana Sprintweek action after Chase Stockon won Friday night’s opener at Gas City I-69 Speedway and then Brady Bacon bested Sunday night’s field at Lawrenceburg Speedway.

Saturday’s Kokomo card was interrupted by rain two laps into the “B” Main, with the remainder of the program washed out on Monday night and set back to August.

Following Wednesday’s action at the Terre Haute Action track, the week of wingless action continues at Putnamville’s Lincoln Park Speedway on Thursday, Bloomington Speedway on Friday and then Haubstadt’s Tri-State Speedway on Saturday.

Current USAC National points leader Robert Ballou is also the early leader in Sprintweek points with a one-point advantage Bacon with Kevin Thomas, Jr., Hunter Schuerenberg and Dave Darland also among the top five.

At least one ride change has taken place since Sunday night with C.J. Leary and the Baldwin No. 5 team parting ways. Leary will return to the family-owned No. 30 for the balance of Sprintweek with Justin Grant taking the seat of the No. 5 with the Mark Hery opting to park the No. 40 for the balance of the week.

Also, Tracy Hines will reportedly miss the balance of the week after suffering rib injuries in a Sunday night incident.
