And the Fans Say…. Look for a Ballou Repeat at Ovals

PERRIS, Cal. (November 13, 2015) – An informal poll of race fans across the country has selected Robert Ballou as the most likely winner of this weekend’s 20th Annual Oval Nationals at the Perris Auto Speedway.

Asked to list the likely top three finishers in Saturday night’s Oval Nationals finale, 26 of 66 respondents landed Ballou in the first position with another 16 putting the defending Oval Nationals champ in second and four more in third. All respondents turned in their selections prior to Thursday’s opening round of the Oval Nationals.

With points awarded three points for each first place vote, two points for each second-place vote and one point for each third-place vote, Ballou tallied 114 points to outdistance Damion Gardner and Bryan Clauson for the top spot.

Listed among the top three frequently at 43 times, Gardner edged Clauson for second by just two points (79 to 77) although Clauson was selected by 17 to win the race compared to just 11 for Gardner.

Fourteen different drivers were predicted by at least one individual to finish among Saturday night’s top three.
