As Sprintweek Turns…

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (July 13, 2016) – For those scoring along at home or on the road, it’s time to adjust your scorecards as Round Four of USAC’s Indiana Sprintweek fires off later this evening at the famed Terre Haute Action Track.

Following Monday’s dramatic breakup of the Thomas Meseraull-Amati Racing No. 66 pairing, T-Mez has landed on his feet while the No. 66 has a new shoe.

Still ranked third in USAC National Sprint Car points despite struggles in the opening three rounds of Sprintweek, Meseraull will now take the seat of Landon Simon’s No. 24 for the balance of the week. Simon will spin wrenches as he vacates the seat for T-Mez.

In the Amati Racing entry, Shane Wade has appointed veteran throttle stomper Jon Stanbrough to wheel the No. 66 for the balance of Sprintweek with Stanbrough parking the No. 81 for a few days.

After opening Indiana Sprintweek at Gas City with his first career USAC Sprint Car triumph, Tyler Courtney takes the Sprintweek points lead into Terre Haute with a 20-point advantage over season points leader Brady Bacon.

While Courtney won Friday’s Sprintweek opener, Kyle Cummins became a first-time series winner as well on Saturday night at Kokomo before Bryan Clauson added his 25th “Circular Insanity” triumph of 2016 on Sunday night at Lawrenceburg.

Aaron Farney topped last year’s Indiana Sprintweek event at the Terre Haute Action Track.

Hot laps get under way at 6:30 p.m. with qualifying at 7:00 p.m. and racing action getting under way at 7:30 p.m.
