Bernal Back in the Saddle with a CRA Win
SANTA MARIA, Cal. (July 2, 2016) – Six months out of a racecar did little to take the edge off of Ryan Bernal’s talents, as the Hollister, CA, racer charged to victory lane in Friday night’s 30-lap USAC/CRA “Doug Fort Memorial” feature event at Santa Maria Raceway.
After a few months in the Firefighter’s Academy, Bernal returned to the seat in the Josh Ford Motorsports No. 73x and took the lead away from Brody Roa on the ninth lap en route to victory lane. Damion Gardner raced into the runner-up position with Roa, Austin Williams and Danny Sheridan rounding out the top five.
