Charles Davis, Jr., Charges to the Top of 2018 Beaver Stripes Non-Wing 360 Power Rankings

Lonnie Wheatley, TULSA, Okla. (December 26, 2018) – The top spot in the Beaver Stripes Non-Wing 360 Sprint Car Power Rankings stayed in the state of Arizona once again in 2018 with Buckeye’s Charles Davis, Jr., earning top honors for the year.

While “Chargin’” Charles has never finished lower than third in the Beaver Stripes Non-Wing 360 Power Rankings, this is the first time that he has captured the number one ranking for the year.

Davis, Jr., earned the top spot this year on the strength of nine feature wins that propelled him to the USAC Southwest Sprint Car championship.

Davis, Jr., earned the top ranking by 86 points over fellow USAC Southwest shoe Tye Mihocko, who posted his top ranking thus far.  After topping the Beaver Stripes Power Rankings over each of the past five years, R.J. Johnson slipped to third as he focused on the 410-ci ranks this year.

USAC West Coast Sprint Car champion Austin Liggett of Tracy, CA, finished fourth in Beaver Stripes Power Rankings for the second year in a row with Tristan Guardino rounding out the top five.  The balance of the top ten included Caleb Saiz, Ryan Timmons, Rob Lindsey, Mike Martin and Ryan Bernal.

Davis, Jr., Johnson and Martin have finished among the top ten in Beaver Stripes Non-Wing 360 Sprint Car Power Rankings over each of the past six years while Mihocko, Guardino, Saiz, Timmons and Lindsey each cracked the top ten for the first time.
