Hodnett Among Latest Open Wheel Power Rankings Leaders

Lonnie Wheatley, TULSA, Okla. (May 18, 2016) – Just in time for the Posse to “welcome” the World of Outlaws to Central PA, Greg Hodnett has moved to the top of the STIDA Winged 410 Sprint Car Power Rankings.

Hodnett is one of three new Open Wheel Power Rankings leaders this week with Tanner Thorson climbing to first in www.midgetmadness.com Midget Power Rankings and Tyler Drueke taking the top spot in 305 Power Rankings presented by Dodge City Raceway Park.

Retaining leads are Bryan Clauson in Infinity Shocks Non-Wing 410 Power Rankings, Derek Hagar in Rod End Supply Winged 360 Power Rankings and R.J. Johnson in Beaver Stripes Non-Wing 360 Power Rankings.

STIDA Winged 410 Sprint Car Power Rankings – Top 50 (Through May 15):

The Posse welcomes the World of Outlaws to Central PA with Posse rep Greg Hodnett atop the STIDA Winged 410 Sprint Car Power Rankings for the first time of 2016.

Hodnett added his seventh overall win of the year Saturday night to take the top ranking by 16 markers over Daryn Pittman, who remains in second. Not only is Hodnett atop the Winged 410 charts with 7 wins, he also has the most top-five runs at 23 as well.

While Pittman remained at second, KKR teammate Brad Sweet climbed a rung to third as previous leader Shane Stewart slipped from first to fourth over the last week.

Donny Schatz, who has topped the STIDA Winged 410 Power Rankings over each of the past three years, still rounds out the top five while Kerry Madsen shuffled Danny Lasoski out of the top ten.

Infinity Shocks Non-Wing 410 Sprint Car Power Rankings – Top 25 (Through May 15):

With a podium finish in Sunday’s Kokomo opener, Bryan Clauson maintains a 44-point edge to hold on to the top spot in the Infinity Shocks Non-Wing 410 Sprint Car Power Rankings.

With 44 points separating first from second, only 35 points separate the next ten drivers in Non-Wing 410 Sprint Car Power Rankings with Kyle Cummins and C.J. Leary both jumping three positions to second and third, respectively, as Thomas Meseraull and Brady Bacon round out the current top five.

Kevin Thomas, Jr., jumped a handful of positions to seventh with his Sunday score at Kokomo while Shane Cottle worked his way back into the top ten.

Rod End Supply Winged 360 Sprint Car Power Rankings – Top 50 (Through May 15):

The battle for the top spot in the Rod End Supply Winged 360 Sprint Car Power Rankings is as close as it can get with Derek Hagar and Seth Bergman both accumulating 225 points thus far with Texas Motor Speedway winner Aaron Reutzel another 14 points back in third.

Hagar gets the nod for the number one ranking with five wins this season compared to Bergman’s three. Hagar added his fifth win on Saturday night in the Hooker Hood Classic at West Memphis.

Behind the lead trio of Hagar, Bergman and Reutzel, current ASCS National Tour points leader Johnny Herrera jumped from tenth to fourth with Logan Forler climbing a position to get back into the top five.

There was little movement near the top of the Beaver Stripes Non-Wing 360 Sprint Car Power Rankings over the past week with R.J. Johnson still holding down the top position by 20 points over Bryan Clauson with Charles Davis, Jr., another three points back in third.

Terry Schank, Jr., cracked the top ten with his seventh Cali win of the year while Austin Liggett made the biggest jump among the top 20 to 13th after Saturday’s USAC West Coast triumph at Tulare.

Thorson holds a ten-point advantage over previous leader Zach Daum while Clauson made the most past Tyler Thomas for fourth after his Friday win to close to within ten points of Spencer Bayston for third.

Another week results in another lead change in the 305 Sprint Car Power Rankings presented by Dodge City Raceway Park with Nebraska’s Tyler Drueke jumping a half dozen positions from seventh to first after capturing his third win of the year on Saturday night at Eagle Raceway.

Drueke is just one point ahead of Oklahoma City’s Andy Shouse, who picked off a pair of wins in North Texas over the weekend, with Justin Melton, Chad Wilson and Michelle Melton also among the current top five as only 18 points separate the top ten.
