The Wheatley Chronicles – Volume IV, No. 9

Lonnie Wheatley, TULSA, Okla. (April 6, 2016) – Shane Stewart, Bryan Clauson, Seth Bergman, Zach Daum and Logan Scherb.

Those are the early leaders in the Open Wheel Power Rankings through the first weekend of the April in the 2016 racing season.

Clauson has doubled up so far by leading both the Infinity Shocks Non-Wing 410 Power Rankings and the Beaver Stripes Non-Wing 360 Power Rankings.

Shane Stewart holds down the top spot in STIDA Winged 410 Power Rankings, Seth Bergan clings to the lead in Rod End Supply Winged 360 Power Rankings, Zach Daum is atop the initial www.midgetmadness.com Midget Power Rankings and Logan Scherb holds the early advantage in 305 Power Rankings presented by Dodge City Raceway Park.

STIDA Winged 410 Sprint Car Power Rankings – Top 40 (Through April 3):

Shane Stewart continues to hold the top spot, but it’s just by 22 points over Daryn Pittman, who climbed a spot past Greg Hodnett as did Brad Sweet with a climb to third.

Hodnett is still fourth with three-time and reigning STIDA Winged 410 Power Rankings champ Donny Schatz in fifth with only 48 points separating the top five.

Infinity Shocks Non-Wing 410 Sprint Car Power Rankings – Top 20 (Through April 3):

Bryan Clauson has racked up three early wins including a Florida score, a win in the USAC/CRA opener at Perris and a “No Way Out 40” win in Indiana to open atop the Infinity Shocks Non-Wing 410 Power Rankings with a 20 point advantage over Kyle Cummins.

Dave Darland makes a move to third after taking USAC honors at Lawrenceburg last weekend with reigning USAC champ Robert Ballou and current series points leader Thomas Meseraull among the early top five.

Rod End Supply Winged 360 Sprint Car Power Rankings – Top 40 (Through April 3):

Finishing 2015 atop the Rod End Supply Winged 360 Sprint Car Power Rankings, Seth Bergman holds the early lead in 2016 though his lead is down to just two points over Derek Hagar, who put together another strong NSL 360 finish at Moberly.

Logan Forler jumped seven points to third after coming up short in a spirted duel with John Carney II in the $5,000-to-win go at Las Cruces, Aaron Reutzel climbed another pair of positions to fourth after another Wren Memorial win at Gator and Andy Forsberg rounds out the current top five.
