Leary Leads the Way Early in Non-Wing Sprint Car Power Rankings

Lonnie Wheatley, TULSA, Okla. (March 14, 2019) – Off to a hot start in 2019 with a new team, Greenfield, Indiana’s C.J. Leary is out to the early lead in the Non-Wing Sprint Car Power Rankings.

Joining forces with the Reinbold/Underwood Motorsports team for the 2019 USAC campaign, Leary already has a pair of wins to his credit including the final night of last month’s Winter Dirt Games at Ocala, FL, and then a USAC Southwest score at Casa Grande to establish an early 17-point advantage.

Leary has ranked among the final top ten in Non-Wing 410 Sprint Car Power Rankings over each of the past four years, reaching a career high of fourth last year as he cracked the top five for the first time.

With a majority of Non-Wing action thus far on the left coast, Buena Park, California’s Brody Roa currently holds down second with a USAC West Coast triumph at Las Vegas among a handful of top-fives.

Finishing atop the Non-Wing 410 Power Rankings over each of the last three years, Kevin Thomas, Jr., currently sits third with Chris Windom and Justin Grant rounding out the current top five.  The balance of the early top ten includes Damion Gardner, Isaac Chapple, Chase Stockon, Jake Swanson and Tyler Courtney.

Separated into Non-Wing 410 and Non-Wing 360 Power Rankings in past years, those have been consolidated into a single Non-Wing Sprint Car Power Ranking for 2019 with all Non-Wing 410 and injected Non-Wing 360 events included in the Rankings.

The Non-Wing Power Rankings are a part of the Open Wheel Power Rankings that also includes STIDA Winged 410s, Rod End Supply Winged 360s and www.midgetmadness.com Midgets.
