Mark Smith Completes USCS Weekend Sweep

OCALA, Fla. (February 10, 2018) – Mark Smith had certainly found Bubba Raceway Park to his liking, as he wired the field in Saturday night’s 30-lap feature to complete a sweep of the season opening weekend for the United Sprint Car Series.

It marked the third consecutive USCS triumph for the Sunbury, PA, racer after topping last year’s season finale at Bubba Raceway Park.

After racing from sixth to win Friday’s feature, Smith landed the pole position for Saturday’s main and never looked back after capturing the lead at the drop of the green flag.  Smith had to survive a green-white-checkered for the second night in a row to post the win ahead of Seth Bergman.

Joining Smith and Bergman on the podium was New Yorker Coleman Gulick, who rallied from 14th, with 16th-starter Carson Short and A.J. Maddox rounding out the top five.
