Mother Nature Owns Friday with Thunderbowl Rainout

TULARE, Cal. (March 11, 2016) – Mother Nature has been on a tear this week.  And she finally finished off the final Friday night event standing with rain forcing the cancellation of tonight’s World of Outlaws and USAC West Coast Sprint Cars twinbill at the Thunderbowl Raceway.

With the rainout, no North American Sprint Car events remain on the slate for Friday night with I-30 Speedway’s Short Track Nationals, the ASCS National opener at Creek County Speedway and the ASCS Gulf South opener at Beaumont all throwing in the towel earlier in the week.

The World of Outlaws and USAC West Coast Sprint Cars will give it another go at the Thunderbowl on Saturday night with other major events still on tap including a Posse double of Lincoln in the afternoon and Port Royal in the evening.  Three winged 360 events are still slated including ASCS Southwest at Canyon Speedway Park along with weekly action at East Bay and Marysville.  The VRA non-wing 360s kick off at Ventura while 305 Racesavers join in on Tulare fun.
