Lonnie Wheatley, TULSA, Okla. (May 20, 2015) – With Donny Schatz hitting mid-season form earlier than usual, it’s time for the latest look at the Open Wheel Power Rankings.

While Schatz extends his lead in STIDA Winged 410 Power Rankings, other current leaders include Robert Ballou in Infinity Shocks Non-Wing 410s, Justin Sanders in Rod End Supply Winged 360s, Ryan Bernal in Beaver Stripes Non-Wing 360s, Darren Hagen in www.midgetmadness.com Midgets and Jordan Ryan in 305s presented by Dodge City Raceway Park.

STIDA Winged 410 Sprint Car Power Rankings – Top 50 (Through May 19):

While Donny Schatz kicks it into high gear by picking off another pair of wins over the past week to reach double digits in the win column, Greg Hodnett strengthened his position in the latest STIDA Winged 410 Sprint Car Power Rankings by fending off the Outlaws in his home territory.

Schatz posted wins at Williams Grove and Weedsport to run his season total to ten wins and extend his STIDA Power Rankings lead to 89 points over Paul McMahan.

Meanwhile, Hodnett scored a Lincoln win and Williams Grove runner-up finish along with two more strong runs at Weedsport and New Egypt to jump to third with Shane Stewart and Kerry Madsen rounding out the top five.

Unrelated Smiths of Ryan and Stevie both broke back into the top 25 with strong Outlaw performances over the past week.

Infinity Shocks Non-Wing 410 Sprint Car Power Rankings – Top 25 (Through May 17):

Robert Ballou stretched out his lead in the Infinity Shocks Non-Wing 410 Sprint Car Power Rankings after adding his fifth win of the season on the opening night of the USAC double at Eldora.

Ballou holds a 32-point advantage over Dave Darland, who slipped by Gas City USAC winner Brady Bacon for second.

Other changes among the top ten include Jon Stanbrough leap-frogging Chase Stockon for fourth, C.J. Leary bypassing Kevin Thomas, Jr., for sixth, Thomas Meseraull jumping a pair of positions to eighth and Tracy Hines gaining a pair of positions to break into the top ten.

Rod End Supply Winged 360 Sprint Car Power Rankings – Top 50 (Through May 17):

The hot streak continues for Justin Sanders, as the Prunedale, CA, racer extended his lead in the Rod End Supply Winged 360 Power Rankings after taking over the top spot the previous weekend.

Sanders picked off his sixth win of the year on Friday night at Ocean Speedway before posting a runner-up finish at Marysville on Saturday to extend his Rod End Supply Power Rankings lead to 45 points over Pennsylvania shoe Mark Smith.

Seth Bergman notched a pair of wins to close to within four points of Aaron Reutzel for third while fifth-ranked Danny Martin, Jr., added another win as well.

Davie Franek was the biggest mover among those already in the top 25 with a jump from 18th to 13th with Wayne Johnson, Trey Starks and Greg DeCaires all busting into the top 25.

USAC West Coast shoe Ryan Bernal continues to hold off USAC Southwest rep R.J. Johnson for the top spot in Beaver Stripes Non-Wing 360 Sprint Car Power Rankings.

Bernal holds the number one ranking over Johnson by just 11 points with Danny Faria, Jr., closing to within 28 points of the leader after a Thunderbowl on Saturday night.

Darren Hagen retains his position at the top of the www.midgetmadness.com Midget Power Rankings charts after a pair of weekends that have been dominated by Mother Nature.

With Hagen 28 points ahead of Tanner Thorson in the race for first, the only pair of events completed over the past two weekends were an ARDC tilt at Bridgeport on May 8 topped by Brett Tanner and a BCRA card at Lakeport this past Saturday topped by Frankie Guerrini. Guerrini jumped six positions to 19th with his second score of the year.
