Pair of Lead Changes in Latest Open Wheel Power Rankings

The Wheatley Chronicles – Volume IV, No. 14

Lonnie Wheatley, TULSA, Okla. (April 28, 2016) – There are a pair of changes atop the point charts in the latest edition of the Open Wheel Power Rankings with the likes of Stewart, Clauson, Bergman, Johnson, Daum and Wilson leading the way.

Taking over the lead are R.J. Johnson in Beaver Stripes Non-Wing 360 Sprint Car Power Rankings and Chad Wilson in 305 Sprint Car Power Rankings presented by Dodge City Raceway Park while Shane Stewart (STIDA Winged 410s), Bryan Clauson (Infinity Shocks Non-Wing 410s), Seth Bergman (Rod End Supply Winged 360s) and Zach Daum (www.midgetmadness.com Midgets) retain their leads.

STIDA Winged 410 Sprint Car Power Rankings – Top 50 (Through April 26):

Shane Stewart remains at the top of the STIDA Winged 410 Power Rankings heap although the breathing room continues to get tighter near the top of the charts with only 26 points separating the top four and another pair of drivers within 64 points of the lead.

Stewart’s advantage is just 13 points over Posse shoe Greg Hodnett with KKR teammates Daryn Pittman and Brad Sweet right there in the mix as well in third and fourth, respectively. Gunning for a fourth consecutive STIDA Winged 410 annual ranking, Donny Schatz is currently just 53 points out of the lead in fifth with Joey Saldana another 11 points back in sixth.

Dale Blaney holds down seventh, David Gravel moved past Jason Johnson for ninth and Danny Dietrich picked off a pair of wins this past weekend to crack the top ten.

Among the biggest mover over the past two weekends is Chad Kemenah, who jumped 31 positions to 14th with a pair of strong All Star weekends.

Infinity Shocks Non-Wing 410 Sprint Car Power Rankings – Top 25 (Through April 24):

In the midst of Circular Insanity, Bryan Clauson still holds down the top spot in Infinity Shocks Non-Wing 410 Sprint Car Power Rankings with a USAC win at Bloomington pushing his win total to four in the topless 410 ranks.

Clauson’s advantage is down to just 11 points over Kyle Cummins with Robert Ballou and Dave Darland another 19 points back in third and fourth, respectively.

Current USAC points leader Chase Stockon rounds out the current top five with Shane Cottle breaking into the top ten.

Rod End Supply Winged 360 Sprint Car Power Rankings – Top 50 (Through April 24):

Sitting in rainy Washington for a weekend, Seth Bergman saw his lead in the Rod End Supply Winged 360 Sprint Car Power Rankings cut to just 7 points by Derek Hagar, who added his third win of the year with a Saturday night score in Marysville, TN.

Hagar jumped past Aaron Reutzel for second with the win while John Carney II bypassed Logan Forler for fourth with a Springfield, MO, triumph.

Brandon Hanks made a big jump from 17th to crack the top ten at sixth while Blake Hahn, Bob Ream, Jr., and Bryan Clauson all moved into the top 25.
