Reutzel Rules Thanksgiving Bash Opener
LAS CRUCES, N.M. (November 28, 2014) – Aaron Reutzel picked off his first career wingless Sprint Car feature win by topping Friday night’s Southern New Mexico Speedway “Thanksgiving Bash” opener. Saturday night’s finale offers up a $10,000 winner’s share.
Besting a field of 35, Clute, TX, racer Reutzel drove the BC Fundz No. 87 Triple-X Sprint Car to victory lane ahead of recently-crowned USAC National Sprint Car champion Brady Bacon with Arizona ace Charles Davis, Jr., claiming the show position.
USAC Western Classic champ Ryan Bernal rallied from 14th to fourth with pole starter John Carney II rounding out the top five. Filling out the top ten were Oklahoma shoe Tyler Thomas, Robert Ballou, R.J. Johnson, Mike Martin and Shon Deskins.
