Saturday Rain Sets up Sunday DIRTcar Nationals Double

BARBERVILLE, Fla. (February 18, 2017) – Persistent rain following Saturday night’s World of Outlaws qualifying at Volusia Speedway Park’s DIRTcar Nationals has set up a Sunday double header to finish out the week.  Officials waited out the rain as much as possible, but with more showers firing up at 10:00 p.m. it was deemed necessary to postpone the proceedings.

Sunday will now get under way with cars on the track at noon to make up Saturday night’s rainout.  It will be a complete new show.  The Sunday night finale will follow as scheduled.

Before the rain hit, Brian Brown had set his second quick time of the week by turning the first lap in the 12-second bracket 12.938 seconds.  However, Saturday’s qualifying will be discarded with Sunday’s noon card starting anew.
