Sunshine Scores Super License Title

You can add another feather to the cap of Tyler Courtney’s memorable year after accumulating the most points in USAC’s three national divisions throughout the season to claim the Mike Curb Super License for 2018 and a $5000 prize.

Courtney, who wrapped up the USAC AMSOIL National Sprint Car title earlier this month, earned a total of 3809 points across USAC’s Silver Crown, National Sprint and National Midget divisions.  Justin Grant was second with 3694 points, while Kevin Thomas, Jr. (3662), Brady Bacon (3389) and Chris Windom (3223) rounded out the top-five.

Courtney, of Indianapolis, Ind., led all drivers with a season-high 13 feature wins in USAC national competition in 2018.  His 11 National Sprint Car victories came at nine different racetracks…
