Vander Weerd Strikes at The PAS Again
PERRIS, Cal. (May 23, 2015) – Richard Vander Weerd continued his recent domination of the Perris Auto Speedway clay oval by winning Saturday night’s 40-lap Amsoil USAC/CRA Sprint Car “Salute to Indy” main event.
Vander Weerd took the lead from Matt Mitchell on the third round then led the rest of the way to capture his third USAC/CRA triumph at The PAS in four attempts this year.
Vander Weerd was chased to the line by Mitchell with Austin Williams, Cody Williams and fast qualifier Jake Swanson rounding out the top five.
