What’s Happening – The Weekend Race Guide

The Wheatley Chronicles – Volume III, No. 26

Lonnie Wheatley, CHECOTAH, Okla. (April 10, 2015) – ‘Stoga, West Burlington and Kokomo are among just a few of the hot spots to keep an eye on for this weekend’s open wheel racing action.

After a wild Wednesday night tilt at Placerville, World of Outlaws west coast action continues with a Saturday-Sunday double at Calistoga with the Civil War 360 series joining in on Saturday’s card as well.

While Outlaws continue out west, all eyes will be on 34 Raceway in West Burlington, IA, with the inaugural National Sprint League event that will included Sprint Car racing legends Steve Kinser and Sammy Swindell along with a cast of title hopefuls that includes the likes of Brian Brown, Danny Lasoski, Terry McCarl, Tim Kaeding, Ian Madsen and more.

For fans of the little cars, the Kokomo Midget Grand Prix for USAC National Midgets has been trimmed to Saturday night only with a Midget double still a possibility for those looking to take in POWRi’s Battle at Belle-Vegas on Friday.
