Daryn Pittman hasn't experienced a slump like this since hooking up with Kasey Kahne Racing.

Until now.

Pittman went eight races without a podium finish with the World of Outlaws. He discussed the setbacks and breaking the string Sunday at Antioch Speedway on this week's edition of PennLive's Sprint Car Unlimited podcast.

The 2013 World of Outlaws champion also talked about the strength of the series and running in California for five weeks.

Racing beat writer Jeremy Elliott and co-host John Westbrook also invited central Pennsylvania ace Doug Esh on the show. Esh talked about going through the offseason without a ride and hooking up with owner Mark Coldren two weeks ago.

Elliott and Westbrook debated handicapping systems and formats in segment three. The hosts also touched on car counts in central Pennsylvania and the Dale Blaney situation.

Sprint Car Unlimited will appear every Tuesday night on PennLive. Future shows will be posted by 6 p.m. In April, the show will move to Wednesday's at 6 p.m. before returning to Tuesday in May. For more information or comments, contact Jeremy Elliott at jelliott@pennlive.com.
