Lonnie Wheatley, NIXA, Mo. (September 15, 2016) – Kyle Bellm and the Resource Asset Management Solutions (RAMS) No. 14k Sprint Car team are Little Rock bound this weekend.
For the second time this year, Bellm and the PPG Automotive Finishes/Colorvision entry will take on the high-banked, I-30 Speedway clay oval in Arkansas. This Saturday night is the $4,646-to-win Ralph Henson Memorial.
“We always enjoy going to I-30 Speedway, it’s a place that we usually can get around pretty good at,” Bellm said. “Plus it’ll give us a few more laps to get dialed in for Short Track Nationals in a few weeks.”
Bellm and the VP Racing Fuels/Schure Built Suspensions team come off an idle weekend following Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour action at Minnesota’s Jackson Motorplex over Labor Day weekend.
It was a weekend of challenges for Bellm and the Christian County Collision Repair/Bybee Lawn Care team.
“We broke a u-joint on Friday night and then on Sunday the track was pretty heavy,” Bellm says. “We didn’t have the right motor in for that track.”
With a dozen top-fives to his credit already this season, Bellm is anxious to get back on track this weekend before Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour action resumes with next weekend’s Hockett/McMillin Memorial at Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, MO, on September 22-24.
“That’s another place we typically do pretty well at,” the driver of the Schaeffer Oil/Prater Designs/Racinboys entry says. “We’re hoping for a strong run at I-30 to carry some momentum into Lucas Oil Speedway next weekend.”
Bellm should be among the leading contenders for Saturday’s $4,646 winner’s share at I-30 Speedway after battling for the lead early before settling for a fourth-place finish in his most recent visit to Little Rock on July 9.
